Boom Batten Restaurant & Cafe: A Taste of Victoria's Culinary Scene

Amazing! Our server Amanda was great! Get the family rib eye! 100% with it! A bottle of wine and a walk home. Was a fantastic evening. We'll definitely go again.

To be frank, super disappointed. Went for my mom's bday dinner and wow... the service was lazy and would not change our side plates. Then asked us to just throw all the food scraps onto one plate so they could take it away. Fine dining? I think not. Seafood tower is horrible and looks like they prepare different towers for different people. Attached photo was a good shot haha The sablefish was not well cooked and was not seared... crispy duck was not crispy.... Best dish were the meatballs The view was also not that great. Really disappointed! GLO was a bit better, I believe they are sister restaurants.

Great atmosphere and place to be on sunny days for brunch or even dinner. The food could’ve been way better to match the place. We had a smash burger which was good but average but Pizza Margherita was not good at all with a chewy dough. Overall the place lets you forget about any downside but definitely worth the visit for the first date.

Great place to meet friends or have family gatherings. Love their happy hour menu. Food is good, especially their pizza, flatbread and their non alcoholic drinks. Very comfortable booth seat and absolutely magnificent view, getting a bit more pricey though. Difficult to find parking at weekends . We celebrated our anniversary here for dinner, and everyone took such amazing care of us …. The view is amazing, and the food is delicious - we will be back maybe before our next anniversary !!

Great location right on the water, and get a great view of the inner harbour in a more quieter area. Lots of tasty cocktails, and got some good recommendations from our waiter. I have eaten here 4 times and every time the food has been great. Fav dishes include: fried cauliflower or ceviche for an appetizer, mussels and risotto for main, and all the pizzas are great. Only thing that could use some improvement are the desserts, I found them underwhelming. Overall great service, with great food in a beautiful location.

I've never been to Boom and Batten before, but went here to celebrate a birthday with friends. Our service was great and the food was delicious!! I ordered the sablefish, and needless to say I was not disappointed! The view of the Harbour, and watching the sunset made for a great atmosphere with our birthday entourage. I would certainly return!

Boom + Battens location is quite pretty. Surrounded by the water which makes the views quite extraordinary. The Cajun chicken handheld was quite tasteful. The meatballs were so soft and had lots of flavour. My sister had the Braised Pork belly bowl which was also perfectly made and quite delicious with distinct flavours. The Opera Cake and two scoops of vanilla ice cream which we indulged in for dessert were also mouthwatering.
